Bali or Mulki? Two Very Different Camp Rhythms

Bali and Mulki should not feel like versions of the same trip. Here is the simple difference in rhythm between the two Carve camp directions.

Bali or Mulki? Two Very Different Camp Rhythms

Choosing between Bali and Mulki is not really about deciding which place is “better”. They offer completely different reasons to travel.

BALI: BUILD THE TRIP AROUND THE SURF.

Bali makes sense when you want an international surf trip with warm-water sessions and a destination that has a huge amount happening beyond the water.

The trick is not trying to do all of it. A good Bali week needs enough focus that the surf does not disappear beneath traffic, sightseeing and an ambitious itinerary.

MULKI: LET THE COAST OPEN UP AROUND YOU.

Mulki offers a slower home-coast rhythm. Surf can sit alongside waterways, local exploration, outdoor activities and longer stays without the trip needing to feel like a major expedition.

THE COMMON PART IS THE PACING.

Whichever coast you choose, the Carve approach stays fairly simple: smaller groups, useful time in the water, thoughtful logistics and enough unscheduled space to enjoy where you actually are.

The destinations should feel different. The trip should still feel considered.
